THE FEATURE FILM

Claude (Federico in origin) is a smart boy: he’s 14, he’s got a charming scar on his face and a new young girlfriend, Jenny. His childhood heroes and the stories about brave seamen seem to be chucked away for good.
But one day, there comes trouble: mysterious hooded men break into Claude’s house! While violently beating him, his little sister and his mother, they ravage his grandfather’s study, but without finding what they’re looking for.

Grandpa Rupert had inexplicably disappeared like a coward years before, after an explosion that had devastated half of the house and disfigured the boy’s face; but now, the family finds out that Grandpa had a false name and that he had served in the Navy, as some objects artfully hidden in the suspended ceiling of the study prove.

Unfortunately, the evil and dangerous hitmen show up again, because of one book belonging to Grandpa Rupert which actually wasn’t in his study: Rusty Red, the story of Captain Red (handwritten by Grandpa himself) that Grandpa was used to read to little Claude.

Captain Red, the hero of Seasons Bay, had always been the child’s favorite hero, in which he saw the father he had never known. Now, the boy recovers the book among the chucked away toys and plunges again, after so many years, into that war story: it doesn’t look like a tale for children anymore, but as a true and terrible story; his grandfather had been there, aboard those battleships! Claude must find out which character in the story his grandfather is and when he will show up again. What’s more, the explosion in the house had not been an accident, but a bomb attack! Only by unraveling his grandfather’s mystery, will Claude be able to save his own family. And so, together with him, we discover the legend of Captain Red…

THE SERIES (26' x 26 ep.)

War time. Joseph, 14 years old, born in an aristocratic family, is a spoilt and squeamish boy, fearful and raw. He’s got everything he wants, but one day he loses his whole family in a bomb attack.

Alone and in despair, he decides to find his brother Robert, 16 years older than him. Robert, who ran away from home when Joseph was 4, has always been a shame for the family, the refused and deliberately forgotten son. The boy doesn’t even know his face, but he is the only relative still alive. In order to find him, Joseph tries to enlist in the Navy, but he is rejected: the boy loses heart, but a mysterious man sees the scene: it’s Captain Red. Even though illegally, the Captain offers the boy the chance to get on board of the dreadnought Millennia. Why does the Captain help the boy? What secret is he hiding from him? Joseph will have to become a man before learning the whole truth…
